Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Services in Centennial, CO

At Heart Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric, we provide residential home services throughout Centennial and the surrounding Arapahoe County area. Our team works with homes across the city’s broad east-to-west footprint, from established neighborhoods near Southglenn and the Denver Tech Center to larger properties in Piney Creek, Smoky Hill, and communities approaching Parker and Aurora.

Centennial includes homes built across several decades rather than around one single style of development. A ranch or split-level property near Broadway may have original underground plumbing and electrical systems that have been updated in stages, while a larger home east of Interstate 25 may include multiple floors, a finished basement, extensive irrigation, and higher demand from modern appliances and electric vehicles.

Local Conditions Centennial Homeowners Face

Centennial’s long, narrow shape spans several distinct residential areas. Mature western neighborhoods such as Southglenn, Walnut Hills, Foxridge, and Willow Creek include many homes built during the suburban expansion of the 1960s through the 1980s. Farther east, communities such as Piney Creek, Smoky Hill, and Saddle Rock include larger and generally newer properties with different plumbing layouts, comfort demands, and electrical needs.

Homes across the city must handle freezing winter nights, dry indoor air, strong summer sunlight, hail, wind, and rapid Front Range temperature changes. Severe thunderstorms can move quickly across the open terrain east of the city, bringing lightning and damaging hail that affect outdoor HVAC equipment and residential power systems.

Finished basements are also common throughout Centennial. While they provide valuable living space, they can make concealed plumbing leaks more disruptive and create noticeable temperature differences between the lowest and highest floors. Mature landscaping in older neighborhoods can affect sewer lines, while newer homes may face growing electrical demand from home offices, EV chargers, and upgraded heating and cooling equipment.

Plumbing Services for Centennial Homes

Plumbing needs in Centennial often depend on which part of the city the home is located in. Established western neighborhoods may have original supply or sewer lines that have served the property for decades, while larger eastern homes can place heavier demand on water heaters and contain more plumbing beneath finished living areas.

  • Leak detection can trace moisture beneath finished basements, behind tiled showers, or along concealed lines running between several floors of a Centennial home.

  • Pipe repair and repiping can address aging or mixed-material supply lines in older ranch and split-level properties that have been remodeled in stages.

  • Water heater repair and replacement helps restore dependable capacity for homes with multiple bathrooms, finished lower levels, large tubs, and concentrated periods of hot-water use.

  • Sump pump installation and repair can help protect finished basements when snowmelt, heavy storms, or grading around the property directs moisture toward the foundation.

  • Sewer camera inspections can identify root intrusion, offsets, deterioration, or buildup beneath mature lawns and established landscaping without immediately disturbing the yard.

  • Sewer line repair can address recurring backups and damage along older private lines connecting established Centennial homes to the local wastewater system.

Water and wastewater service can vary depending on the property’s location because Centennial is served by multiple districts and authorities. Providing your complete address when scheduling helps us account for the specific home, neighborhood, and plumbing concern.

HVAC Services for Centennial Homes

Centennial homes range from compact ranches to larger multi-story properties, creating substantial differences in how heating and cooling move through the living space. Upper bedrooms can retain heat during summer, finished basements often remain cooler, and rooms above attached garages may be difficult to balance throughout the year.

  • Furnace repair and replacement keeps Centennial homes prepared for freezing nights, especially when older equipment is struggling to heat additions, basement rooms, or distant bedrooms.

  • Air conditioning repair and installation helps manage summer heat in upper levels, west-facing rooms, and eastern neighborhoods where newer landscaping provides less afternoon shade.

  • Heat pump installation and repair provides an efficient option for homeowners replacing older equipment or moving more of the home’s heating and cooling demand to electricity.

  • Mini-split installation can improve comfort in finished basements, converted offices, enclosed patios, additions, and rooms that are not served effectively by the original duct system.

  • Humidifier installation and maintenance helps offset the dry indoor conditions that become more noticeable when furnaces operate regularly during Centennial’s winter heating season.

  • Indoor air quality services help households manage windblown dust, wildfire smoke, seasonal allergens, pet dander, and particles recirculating through closed homes.

A comfort problem on one floor does not always indicate that the entire HVAC system is failing. We consider the home’s construction era, floor plan, sun exposure, duct layout, and equipment age before recommending the next step.

Electrical Services for Centennial Homes

Many established Centennial homes were built before home offices, central cooling, EV charging, connected appliances, and extensive home entertainment equipment became common. Electrical additions completed over several decades can leave a property with heavily used circuits or a combination of older and newer components.

  • Circuit breaker repair can address repeated trips caused by modern appliances, cooling equipment, workshop tools, or several high-demand devices sharing one circuit.

  • Electrical safety inspections help homeowners evaluate the system before purchasing an older Centennial property, remodeling, finishing a basement, or adding major equipment.

  • Electric car charging station installation provides dedicated home charging while accounting for panel capacity, garage placement, and the electrical demands already present in the household.

  • Home surge protection helps protect HVAC controls, computers, appliances, and connected equipment during lightning, severe thunderstorms, and utility fluctuations.

  • Smoke and CO detector installation improves coverage in ranch, split-level, and multi-story homes where bedrooms, attached garages, finished basements, and fuel-burning equipment may be separated.

Electrical improvements should be considered within the demands of the entire property. Our team can evaluate how an EV charger, heat pump, new appliance, or finished living area fits into the home’s existing electrical system.

Justin Covington with plumbing was great! Super friendly and informative. Ended up letting us know some things we could fix on our own so our bill wasn't so high. I've always appreciated the Heart Professionals telling me the truth instead of trying to charge for unnecessary services. Thank you Justin for your honestly and education! I highly recommend Heart for plumbing, hvac and electric!

We scheduled our annual furnace inspection with Heart heating and cooling. Our technician Joel was awesome. He sent a text letting us know he was on his way that included a tracker so we could see exactly when he would arrive. He explained every thing he was going to do in great detail and discussed his findings with us. We highly recommend this company!

Richard is the best Heart technician I've ever worked with. On-time; efficient, and helped me understand what happened. Knowledgeable

This was not an easy job and the technician did it well and communicated throughout. He was timely and professional. Excellent job. I always appreciate the technicians but the schedulers leave much to be desired given that every time I make an appointment the schedulers have overbooked and tried to cancel. This time they made it work and the technician was excellent

Justin was incredible. Great service, knowledgeable, and so friendly. Did so much for us, offered us a water damage remittance and even set up the appointment. This is the kind of guy you can sit down and have beers with. Felt more like a friend coming over for repairs than a repairman.

My AC unit stopped working and it was because of the safety feature from the furnace. Joel Ramirez came out and was exceptionally nice and professional took care of the small issue and explained what was happening and why happened. He went above and beyond by cleaning the AC unit and explaining any other issues and verified all the coolant levels on the AC unit.
