Sewer Restoration Services

Recurring backups, root intrusion, corrosion, cracks, and damaged joints can prevent a sewer line from carrying wastewater reliably. Sewer restoration addresses the conditions within the line and restores proper drainage using the repair method that best matches the pipe’s condition.

At Heart Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric, we provide sewer restoration throughout Metro Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs, and surrounding Front Range communities. We inspect the sewer line, identify the extent of the damage, and determine whether cleaning, targeted repair, pipe lining, or replacement offers the most dependable solution.

Sewer restoration is part of our complete drain and sewer services. We focus on restoring the function and structural reliability of the wastewater system without recommending more work than the line requires.

Signs a Sewer Line May Need Restoration

A damaged sewer line may first appear to be a routine drain problem. When the same symptoms return after cleaning or affect several fixtures at once, there may be a deeper problem within the main wastewater line.

We recommend a sewer inspection when you notice:

  • Multiple drains backing up at the same time

  • Recurring clogs after previous cleaning

  • Toilets gurgling when sinks, tubs, or appliances drain

  • Wastewater backing up through a shower or floor drain

  • Persistent sewage odors indoors or outdoors

  • Slow drainage throughout the home

  • Tree roots repeatedly entering the sewer line

  • Wet, sunken, or unusually green areas in the yard

  • Cracks, corrosion, or offsets found during an inspection

  • A history of repairs in several sections of the same line

A single slow fixture may only require localized drain cleaning. Problems affecting several fixtures or repeatedly returning after clearing are more likely to require a complete sewer-line evaluation.

Sewer Camera Inspection and Diagnosis

We begin sewer restoration by identifying what is happening inside the pipe. Our drain and sewer camera inspections allow us to examine accessible sections of the line and locate defects that interfere with wastewater flow.

The inspection may reveal:

  • Root intrusion

  • Cracked pipe walls

  • Corroded cast iron

  • Separated or offset joints

  • Deteriorated clay piping

  • Heavy scale or debris

  • Low or improperly sloped sections

  • Previous repairs

  • Partial or complete collapse

  • Areas where wastewater is not flowing correctly

These findings guide the restoration plan. We explain which sections remain serviceable, which areas require attention, and why a particular repair method is appropriate.

Sewer Cleaning and Preparation

Some sewer lines can be restored to proper flow by removing roots, scale, grease, or compacted debris. Cleaning may also be required before we can inspect the full line or complete a structural repair.

When root growth or a deeper obstruction is involved, our rooter services can clear the line and expose the underlying pipe condition. Removing the blockage allows us to determine whether the roots entered through an isolated joint or through broader deterioration.

Cleaning alone cannot repair cracks, failed joints, corrosion, or collapsed piping. If the obstruction developed because of physical damage, we address the structural problem as part of the restoration plan.

Targeted Sewer Line Repair

A focused repair may restore the line when damage is limited to one section and the surrounding pipe remains dependable. We may recommend targeted repair for an isolated crack, displaced joint, root-damaged connection, or localized break.

This approach preserves the serviceable portions of the sewer line while correcting the section responsible for backups or leakage. We verify the location of the defect before work begins so the repair remains focused on the damaged area.

Trenchless Pipe Lining

When the existing sewer pipe retains enough shape and structural integrity, we may be able to rehabilitate it from the inside. Trenchless pipe lining installs a cured liner against the interior of the host pipe, forming a continuous new surface within the old line.

Pipe lining may restore eligible pipes affected by:

  • Cracks and small fractures

  • Corroded interior surfaces

  • Leaking joints

  • Minor gaps between pipe sections

  • Root-entry points

  • Deteriorated cast iron or clay piping

Lining can reduce excavation around yards, driveways, patios, and established landscaping. It is not appropriate for pipes that have collapsed, lost their shape, shifted significantly, or developed slope problems that prevent proper drainage.

Sewer Line Replacement

Replacement may be necessary when the existing pipe cannot be restored reliably. Severe collapse, extensive deterioration, major offsets, missing pipe sections, or an improper sewer-line slope can prevent cleaning, repair, or lining from providing a lasting solution.

We provide partial and complete sewer line repair and replacement based on how much of the system has failed. We also evaluate whether a trenchless replacement method or traditional excavation is more appropriate for the property.

Complete replacement is not our default recommendation. We reserve it for lines that no longer have enough serviceable structure to support a dependable repair or rehabilitation method.

Restoring Cast Iron and Clay Sewer Lines

Many established homes across the Colorado Front Range have cast iron or clay sewer piping. Both materials can remain functional for decades, but they tend to develop different forms of deterioration.

Cast iron may corrode, accumulate heavy scale, or become thin and brittle. Clay pipes may crack, separate at their joints, or allow tree roots to enter. Depending on the severity, we may restore these lines through cleaning, localized repair, pipe lining, or replacement.

The pipe material alone does not determine the solution. We consider its remaining structure, alignment, flow, repair history, and the condition of the surrounding sections.

Sewer Restoration Across the Colorado Front Range

Sewer systems throughout Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs, and surrounding communities can be affected by aging pipe materials, mature tree roots, shifting soil, corrosion, and previous repairs. Older neighborhoods may also have sewer lines that have been in service through decades of property changes and increasing household demand.

We assess each sewer line individually. Pipe material, depth, access, landscaping, soil conditions, and the location of the damage all influence which restoration method will provide the best result.

Heart was an exceptional company to work with. Nicholas, our main HVAC technician was professional, knowledgeable, took time to explain and answer any questions I had.

Our 6 year old AC unit shut off. With two 5 year old English Sheepdogs that’s not a good thing bc they can overheat quickly.

I called to see what the issue was and thankfully it’s just the filters were dirty and all the numbers were going down to normal levels.

Nicholas was very kind and knowledgeable and educated me. He also explained their service contract.

I cannot say enough good things about their employees and Heart Services. They are just good people and exceptional company. They will be our call to company for furnace, electrical, sewer, AC, heating.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up to find a substantial leak from a pipe in my basement. Trusting Dave Logan’s recommendation, I contacted Heart Plumbing and Heating and they were able to send a plumber out right away. Davion was very professional and was able to give me an estimate within five minutes. The repair was done quickly and Davion was great in showing me his new tools that are used in connecting copper, without sweating them. My leak was repaired quickly and efficiently.

Justin has been well trained. He understood our system front to back. He proposed upgrades to the system. Most of them were to prevent issues from happening should a leak happen, when we least expect one. He is defiantly a seasoned veteran Happy to have him, look after our heat, water, electrical systems. These folks are well trained.

        Update June 2026
Had an issue with my electrical box on my patio. Heart came out with 48 hours to inspect why it wasn't working. The tech was friendly and professional. He was able to assess the issue and correct. In addition he made sure connections and outlets were properly installed. Also because we are in the program the visit and work was covered.

        Update 10/27/25
Corrections were need and Justin was great yet again. We needed the safety switch replaced that was inadvertently broken during the maintenance check the other week. While Justin was making that correction he turned on the humidifier and did a quick check to make sure it was running properly. Lastly, he noticed a small leak from hose leading to the drain. He put on a hose clamp and addressed the issue. Little quick fixes like that eliminate a need to have a another visit from a technician in the future. Thank you Justin.

        Updated 11/11/24
Wonderful service by Justin Anderson! We needed a couple of parts replaced for our furnace and he was able to get them ordered and installed within 24hrs. Once the work was complete, he stayed to ensure that the temperature of our home was in fact rising before leaving. He was very professional and easy to work with. Once again, we had to report another successful experience with HEART's HVAC team. Thank you.

        Updated 4/16/23
Great service by Jamie Hietman. Annual AC maintenance. AC is 10 years old and Jamie provide multiple options on services that are required at this life of the unit. Jamie even provided a priority list of items to perform this year that will provide a better quality on the unit over next several years.

He even assisted with when to turn off the humidifier and process to turn off for the summer and fall months.

        January of 2023
Had a humidifier put in to help with the humidity in our house. The house was hovering between 8%-15% on average before. Now the house runs between 30%-35%. Huge improvement on static and house being too dry.

        Spring of 2022
We also had a great experience with their plumbing division as well when we started hearing noise in the piping. Heart come out the same day, assessed the situation and provided their feedback on what our issue was. The tech was friendly and courtesy considering it was just an air pocket causing the issue.

        Summer is 2021
We had a whole house fan installed. The tech, Kelly Smith, was responsive, professional and up front about the process. Due to the pandemic and supply issues it took about 2 weeks to get the fan installed, but it was worth the wait. All that was left for us to do post installation was fill the drill holes and paint the ceiling around the unit, minor fix.

We love the fan, it cools the house within 30 minutes when on low and allows us to not have to run the AC continuously overnight after these hot summer days in Denver.

We joined the annual program which allows for annual tune up on the furnace, AC, plumbing and electrical. Also get discount on pricing, work being done.
